Hermanus, a small coastal town south-east of Table Mountain, is situated in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. What once was a small Fishermans village, has now turned into a buzzing, upmarket, modern holiday destination, popular amongst Whale Watchers.

Times to visit:

If you are a whale watcher, the best time to visit Hermanus would be between August and November.
You may be more of a sun / sand person so the summer months between November and March are a great time for you to head down to the Hermanus beaches with their endless stretches of golden sand.
There are great art galleries and shops to visit during their winter months when you would probably prefer to stay indoors sipping coffee.
