As more and more people become eco-conscious and realise the need to go green, supermarkets have had to increase the shelf space for an increasing number of green cleaning products that have entered the market. And whilst the various brands within this current über niche may be appeal to the emotional chords of those who are environmentally aware, these are not the only option! Cheaper alternatives include vinegar and baking soda which can be used to clean most household items - all you need to do is add warm water to either of these and you have a multi-purpose cleaning solution! Baking soda is also great for removing odours from carpets or rugs. Simply sprinkle a little over the affected area, leave it to soak up the odours and then vacuum it up afterwards. Simple and easy!
