The exclusive Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve just north of Cape Town is the world’s best hotel according to the 2009 Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards.

The World’s Best Awards survey asked readers to rate hotels on their rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value, which says a lot for the quality one can expect at Bushman’s Kloof Wilderness Reserve. They have previously been named among Forbes Traveller’s 400 best hotels and National Geographic’s Top 50 Eco Lodges.

Other South African hotels that featured in the Top 15 included Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve (3), Singita Sabi Sands (6) and the Twelve Apostles (15).
