Caster Semenya, South Africa’s young running sensation shook off gender speculations and went on to win the women’s 800m final at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin on Wednesday night. In a winning time of 1 minute, 55.45 seconds, she was streaks ahead of her competitors, including the defending champion Janeth Jepkosgei who she beat by a staggering 2.45 seconds! With such a convincing victory at only 18 years of age, Semenya certainly has a bright future ahead of her. Well Done!
