Can You Solve The Puzzle?
It’s that time of the week again. Can you solve the following MATHS equation-
A ship is twice as old as the ship’s boiler was when the ship was as old as the boiler is. What is the ratio of the boiler’s age to the ship’s age?
Oh and by the way, I require the full solution with workings and everything, no pressure or anything.
Answer in tomorrows biztip, unless Chris gets it first
I’ve got it I’ve got it
do I have to wait till tomorrow to tell you?
Not at all. Tell us now!
So here it comes:
1ship = 2X( 1boiler-(1ship-1boiler ))
or
1ship = 2x( 2boilers-1ship )
or
1ship= 4boilers-2ships
then…
1ship+2ships=4boilers
3ships=4boilers
3/4ships=1boiler
answer 3/4 to 1
Holy moly! That is a SERIAAS equation. Well done, 3/4 is correct YAAAAAAY! I never took you for a mathematician, did Mike help
that is all i’m good at….maths….hehe….but i have to be honest, did the whole thing a bit more complicated. Got the same results though. I got a little help to simplify it
oh….and i haven’t had any jagerbombs…so my brain still works
Dammit, I was too busy eating cupcakes and totally missed this one!
Your fault!
Well done Naomi!
You’re forgiven!
