The Cape Town Carnival Weekend has started with a bang, with a One-Of-A-Kind Star-Studded Fashion Show bringing together the top South African Designers and Celebrity Models

On Saturday evening the much anticipated carnival is due to start in Greenmarket Square at 6:00pm with a pulsating concert starring popular performers such as Loyiso, Emo Adams, Locnville. This will be followed by the dazzling carnival parade at 8:00pm in Long Street. More than 2000 costumed singers, dancers and musicians are to fill the streets, performing in unison, with sound relays and large screen viewings.

The crowning glory will be a giant float, measuring 12 X 4 X 3.5 m wide.  Created and implemented by the acclaimed urban artist, Mak1One and a team of illustrators and designers.

Once the parade draws to an end, have no fear as the party will continue until the wee hours of the morning, so bring your Red Bull!
