Will’s Cafe Racer Party
To celebrate Woo’s 2nd birthay we decided to throw a Cafe Racer Party. It was that or an aeroplane party as he goes to sleep with either one and sometimes both, clutched firmly in his grasp. As I write this he is sitting on my lap holding a miniature Cafe Racer driving it all over my hands, the desk and if he had it his way, the keypad and screen too. He’s singing hoki poki song too. It’s very cute, a little distracting but he can stay. He can always stay.
Anyway, before I get too sentimental, here it is….some pics of his party…
Well, first you better park your ride!
And then grab yourself a babycino voucher…
It’s for free you know.
..And head on over to the Cafe’Cino Bar!
Or just skip the caffeine and get onto the real tough stuff…
There was a biker burger bar for all the little racers…
And nommy popcorn!
But what was even more nommy were these Hot Rods.
And these Dentist-Money-Maker toffees.
Outside was the setting for Will’s Cafe where Emergency Motor Oil was fully stocked.
And what’s a Cafe Racer Bar without a leather jacket or two…for Woo and his Bru (sorry couldn’t help it)
These were the Oscar Award Winners though, they embodied the perfect Cafe Racer look, including the scarf in the wind.
I mean just look at them! I mean really! Really!!! How darn cute?!!
And if you couldn’t face eating those beauties, you could have always tucked into these fuel-tank-love-handle-inducing brownies.
Oh. And there was an emergency stash too. Just.In.Case.
The birthday boy stealing some time with his mamma. This pic makes me think of the paparazzi – the pics they take. I could just imagine Will saying in a Godfather voice…No one takes pictures when I’m with my mudder. Capish?
In reality he probably just spotted a piece of Chocolate cake going begging.
There were lots of activities. The girls loved the designing…
But the boys liked getting Inked.
As Will demonstrates below
Oh yes. It reads “Mommy”.
And then after all that colouring in and inking, it was time for cake and candles.
The boys blowing out the candles together. #love
Look at the tentative tasting going on.
But after that it was tickets…
The best way to eat cake Mum!
Oh yummy!
Hee Hee. Just one more bite!!
Happy Birthday beautiful boy, you were sent to mamma and dadda to have our hearts melt and bounce and flicker with delight every single day.
Thank-you universe. Thank-you a million times over.
Happy 2nd Birthday Woo Woo
One of the best things about having a family is that you get to create new traditions. We’ve started many but one of my very favourites is our birthday morning tradition – tea, chocolate cake for Breakie and opening pressies. Today we sing and dance and clap our hands and wish our little Woo a happy 2nd birthday. Always with a big toothy smile or mischievous grin, he makes us smile just as much.
So much joy you have brought to our lives little one. You are so loved.
Tom’s 3rd Birthday Party
That time of year has come and gone already and I’ve found myself repeating night after night, I must post Tom’s party pics, I must post those party pics.
I finally found a gap!
So here we are, Tom’s Vintage Train Party…
Grab yourself aTrain Ticket….
My little station master is 3 already! Three years olds LOVE trains. and chocolate cake.
Are you ready?
Firstly. There was so much yummy food!
How cute are these “coal pops?”
No really. How cute are these coal pops? They even have a slight shimmer!!! I’m telling you.
Railroad crossings….or aeroplanes according to Thomas.
Tadaaaa. Cupcakes by yours truly.
I did provide some healthy food.Like these cheese carriages…
And this cargo of cheese blocks.
And that was it.
These could be considered healthy? A bit of coconut roughage? Maybe?
Jem whipped this cardboard train up an hour before the party!!
It was a huge hit as you can see!
What’s a train party without a train cake?
Well this has to be my favourite photo! It captures the super special bond between these two beautiful souls.
The cake was a hit too. As Will will attest.
Don’t forget the train (and truck and Land Rover) workshop!
Oh Hello Birthday Boy! (Spot Will eating a sucker in the background. Bless)
Before leaving, you better cool down a bit…
And make sure you catch the correct train.
Pack some padkos….
And don’t forget to take your luggage either!
And always, always, watch for trains..
Happy 3rd Birthday our precious little conductor Thomas. The journey has been spectacular thus far. Let’s carry on with the fun and adventure and we’ll stop again at Station 4!
